About Us

The practice was established in 1993 and has been operating as a sole proprietorship since August 1999. There are two practices, one in Cape Road, Port Elizabeth, and the other one at the Mercantile Hospital in Port Elizabeth.

Hennie van Niekerk completed his studies at the Tshwane University of Technology, where he obtained a National Diploma in 1992. He was one of the first 9 orthotists/prosthetists in South Africa to obtain a BTech degree in 2004 when the diploma course was changed to a degree course.

Our passion for the industry has evolved to include animals and we have made several braces and prosthetics for a wide variety of animals.

All custom design and manufacture is done in house and on site in our own fully equipped orthopaedic laboratory; and ALL processes are personally overseen by the director and owner of the practice, Hennie van Niekerk.
